The lack of emergency transportation posed serious challenges for residents requiring urgent medical care. Pregnant women, newborns, accident victims, and critically ill patients often faced long delays reaching hospitals.
SDA supported the purchase of an ambulance for Kailash Rural Municipality and worked closely with local stakeholders to establish an Ambulance Users Committee and a sustainable operational model. The ambulance service significantly improved access to emergency healthcare and continues to serve the community through a locally managed system.
