Traditional goat breeds often produced limited economic returns and offered few opportunities for commercial livestock development.
SDA introduced Boer goats as part of a livestock improvement programme. Farmers received training on breeding, nutrition, animal health, and farm management. The project demonstrated the benefits of improved breeds and contributed to increased productivity, income generation, and agricultural development.
