The COVID-19 pandemic severely affected vulnerable households across Kailash Rural Municipality. Lockdowns disrupted livelihoods, reduced income opportunities, and increased food insecurity among many families.
In coordination with local government authorities, SDA organized a large-scale food relief programme that distributed essential food supplies and hygiene materials to more than 300 vulnerable households. The initiative helped families meet their immediate needs during a period of crisis while also promoting public health awareness related to hygiene, handwashing, and disease prevention.
Through these One-Time Support Projects, SDA has been able to respond flexibly to emerging challenges while strengthening its long-term development efforts in education, health, agriculture, and community empowerment.
