Access to safe drinking water was a challenge for many households, schools, and health facilities in the project area. Limited water infrastructure affected hygiene, sanitation, and public health.
SDA supported the construction and improvement of drinking water systems, water storage facilities, and child-friendly taps. The project improved access to safe drinking water while promoting hygiene and sanitation practices through community awareness activities and WASH training programmes.
