Maternal and newborn health was a major concern in the project area, where many women did not receive regular prenatal care and institutional delivery rates remained low.
To encourage mothers to attend antenatal check-ups and seek safe delivery services, SDA distributed newborn support packages containing essential supplies for newborn care. The initiative complemented SDA’s maternal health activities and helped promote healthier practices among mothers and caregivers.
