Traditional cooking methods exposed families to high levels of indoor smoke, contributing to respiratory illnesses and excessive consumption of firewood.
To improve household health and reduce environmental impacts, SDA distributed smokeless stoves to households in Kailash Rural Municipality. These stoves reduced indoor air pollution, improved kitchen conditions, consumed less firewood, and provided a safer cooking environment for women and children.
